UPDATE State of Emergency – Jan. 23&24: City of St. John’s pharmacies open 10am-6pm

January 22nd, 2020

ADVISORY: All Community Pharmacies Permitted to Open Thursday & Friday 10am-6pm

The City is again permitting St. John’s pharmacies to open from 10am-6pm on Thursday & Friday, Jan. 23-24. The SOE is still in effect until at least Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6am. The City will provide daily updates regarding the situation and if anything changes it will be communicated. During the SOE, residents are being reminded to only travel to the pharmacy for URGENT care. Pharmacists are also encouraged to take advantage of medication delivery services when possible. The City would like to have as little traffic on the roads as possible as clean up efforts continue.

If you have to go to the pharmacy, for work or for medication, travel carefully and keep an eye out for pedestrians and snow removal vehicles.

Thank you again – to all of our registrants: community and hospital pharmacists, and technicians, for going above and beyond to care for your patients during this time. Pharmacy practice is an essential piece of NL healthcare. NLPB is grateful for your continued dedication to quality practice at times like these.
